Fellowship Hall 2020 Schedule

Last chance for reserving the Fellowship Hall for 2020 events by Sunday, October 6th. I have heard from several of you about reserving the FH for your events for 2020 and they are on the calendar. I will be scheduling outside groups like the Cub Scouts and Quilters after October 6th and those dates won't be available for other events.

2020 Fellowship Hall Planning

Please let me know your need to use the Fellowship Hall for 2020 for various activities for your committees/church by October 1st. Please include prep/decoration dates as well as the activity day. If for some reason you can not meet the Oct 1 deadline please let me know.

The Quilters have already put in their request to use the FH for 2020 and I want to avoid any conflicts. Church activities have priority, however, once I OK the Quilters FH dates we need to honor them since they may have out of town speakers scheduled etc. Additionally, the Cub Scouts will soon be making their request for use of the FH for 2020.

Thanks for your help. Lyn

Re: Your Church Garden Plot

Got it, thanks!

Thank you all for your willingness to "Adopt A Plot" at Holy Cross. We have a beautiful church and grounds to worship our generous and loving God and the outside is the first thing everyone sees, essentially the first impression of Holy Cross. Your efforts with your plot help to enhance that image.

I would like to thank those that have already done their "spring cleaning" and taken care of those pesky early weeds that have thrived during this wet spring. I would like to encourage those that have not gotten to do their first weeding/maintenance to get out and enjoy the nice weather (between showers) and get your plot looking smart.

We are planning to get some mulch to help keep the weeds down once the weeding is finished. Also, the tools (spade, wheelbarrow, etc.) will again be available out front at the kitchen door entrance locked up to the gas meter. There is a combination lock with a four digit code (2700, the church street address) so that you can access these tools at your convenience (see diagram below). Please return everything for the next person to use. There are a couple of hand tools there too but it is best if you bring your own.

Take all weeds, limbs etc. and dump them behind the Preschool Playground where you will see other debris. Please be sure and keep the road clear and dispose of things off to one side or the other.

If you are planning major changes to your plot like cutting down or planting shrubs please check with the Property Committee (Tom Royer or Rich Stein) first.

The combo lock should look like the diagram below when properly set to open:

2700 This top position is the correct location for the code
1699
0588

Push the lock down and then pull up if it doesn't pop open.
Be sure and scramble the numbers once you have locked everything up.

Feel free to contact me if you have questions or issues. 610 868-9781 (I will answer my phone if I'm home) or by email.
