RE: Please, don't click delete

I don't want to look back after the election and wonder if we could have done more. I want to know that we seized every possible opportunity to make a difference.

Dear MoveOn member,

This is Rahna Epting, MoveOn's executive director.

I'm reaching out to you because TODAY is MoveOn's most important quarterly Federal Election Commission fundraising deadline of the entire 2024 election cycle. Frankly, it's the most important deadline for us of the entire four-year cycle.

Moments this important come just a few times in a lifetime.

In moments like this one, we cannot afford to fall short. But unfortunately, MoveOn is facing a $619,164 budget shortfall.

If you were planning to give any money (or additional money, thank you!) between now and when the polls close on November 5, to help elect Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz and defeat MAGA and Project 2025—or if I have just convinced you to give—then please:

Please donate $7 a week through Election Day to help fill MoveOn's critical budget gap and stop cuts to MoveOn's election work before our midnight FEC deadline tonight.

Yes, I'll chip in weekly.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a weekly donation.

We have a huge opportunity right now because a new front has opened up in the race to control the White House: North Carolina has become a pivotal battleground state, and we have made the decision to add it to our Tier 1 target list. After CNN's bombshell report about the MAGA candidate for governor, Mark Robinson, the state's political landscape has shifted dramatically.1 Vice President Harris has taken an extremely narrow lead over Donald Trump there, and we have a chance to win critical Electoral College votes and elect a civil rights champion as North Carolina governor.2

But electoral efforts in North Carolina were not part of our original budget. We need to expand our program without making cuts to the critical work we'd already planned in other states.

That's why our meeting our fundraising goal by midnight tonight is now more important than ever.

Please make your final donation to MoveOn now, before midnight; $7 a week through Election Day–or whatever you can afford–will go a long way.

Yes, I'll chip in weekly.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a weekly donation.

The decisions we make now will determine how fully we can execute our plans to combat the rise of extremism and protect and strengthen our democracy.

This will not be the last email you get from me about this election. In fact, I may send you another fundraiser or two. But here's the thing: While we may be able to make small changes to our program after this email, I won't sugarcoat this … If we don't meet our fundraising goal by midnight tonight, we'll be starting the final stretch from behind. We could be forced to scale back our work in the coming days, and then play catch-up.

And if we keep falling behind, we will not be able to reverse all of our cuts … even if more dollars come in later.

That's because critical online advertising space fills up early, vendors require upfront commitments, hiring staff and contractors (even on a short-term basis!) takes time, and raising and spending money requires certain operational delays.

So while last-minute opportunities will inevitably appear, the bottom line is that if we cannot fill our funding gap now, we will have to think carefully about our plans to expand into North Carolina to take advantage of this new path to victory, and we may ultimately air fewer ads, host fewer events, staff fewer vote-tripling sites, and reach fewer voters between now and November 5.

Because of the Electoral College, the race for the presidency is a coin flip, control of the House of Representatives is on a razor's edge, and the Senate could be won or lost by one seat. And I want to make sure all of us do everything we possibly can to win in November.

Will you chip in $7 a week through Election Day—or whatever you can afford—to help us close this budget shortfall?

Yes, I'll chip in weekly.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a weekly donation.

Here's why your support before the deadline at midnight tonight is so crucial:

  • The time to fund MoveOn's innovative strategies is running out. MoveOn has never needed to match Republican spending dollar for dollar. We specialize in creating effective strategies that deliver more impact for less money. In 2020, our friend-to-friend voter turnout strategy was five times more effective than traditional methods like phone-banking and door-to-door canvassing. However, our strategies require upfront resources and lead time, and our time to effectively expand this work is rapidly running out.
  • We're in the final stretch. The funds we raise by September 30 will determine the scope of our efforts in these final weeks. This includes our innovative vote tripling program, which, in previous years, has been up to five times more effective, per dollar invested, at getting out the vote than traditional methods such as TV ads.
  • Every moment counts. The earlier we secure the necessary resources, the more effectively we can deploy them where they are needed most.

All too often, we get a wave of donations at the very end of an election cycle. And we will let you know when new opportunities appear and put any last-minute donations to good use. But I'll level with you: If we don't close our $619,164 budget shortfall by midnight, we'll be starting the final stretch behind. We simply cannot afford to do that, because so much is at stake.

Don't wait to make your final election donation to MoveOn. Please, click this link right now to donate $7 a week—or whatever you can afford.

Yes, I'll chip in weekly.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a weekly donation.

I don't want to look back after the election and wonder if we could have done more. I want to know that we seized every possible opportunity to make a difference.

To do that, we need you now more than ever. Together, we can rise to this challenge.

Thanks for all you do.

–Rahna Epting, Executive Director

P.S. At MoveOn, we don't rely on billionaires or corporate donors. Our power comes from grassroots supporters like you.

So, please, if you're able, make a donation of $7 a week through Election Day. Your contribution before midnight tonight will directly fund our efforts to mobilize voters, expand our reach in critical states like North Carolina, and fully implement our strategic plans in these final crucial days.

Yes, I'll chip in weekly.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a weekly donation.

Will you join us THIS Thursday to call voters about electing Harris-Walz?

With early voting underway, voters are already making their voices heard. With early voting underway, voters are already making their voices heard.

With only 35 days until Election Day and early voting already underway, now is the time to make sure voters know exactly what's at stake this November.

Dear MoveOn member,

According to a NBC News poll, half of registered voters plan to vote early in this election.1 With early voting underway, voters are already making their voices heard on what direction our democracy will go in November. Over the next couple of weeks, more crucial battleground states, including Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina, will kick off early voting. Now's the time to rally behind Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz and make sure these voters show their support early and lock in their votes!

MoveOn is hosting multiple phone banks every week to contact key voters in battleground states who need our outreach to turn out this November. These voters likely already support Vice President Harris but may need an extra nudge to get motivated to vote this election. Your conversations with these voters could swing the election outcome to win a Harris-Walz presidency and other down-ballot victories!

Will you join MoveOn's virtual phone bank this Thursday at 6 p.m. ET (5 CT/4 MT/3 PT) to call voters across the country? Our staff will walk you through a short training and will be available to support you the whole way through. We'll also be making calls this Saturday at 2 p.m. ET (1 CT/12 MT/11 PT)!

This November is a pivotal moment for our democracy, and we must fight with everything we can to shape our future. Every call you make to an undecided voter can inspire someone else to take action and fight for the issues that matter, including bodily autonomy, climate justice, and economic equality for all. Trump's policies and agenda have sown division and undermined our democracy, but through personal conversations with voters, we can counter his dangerous narratives and ensure voters know that Vice President Harris has a plan for our future (not just a "concept of a plan"!).

Whether you're a pro dialer or a first-timer at our phone banks, you'll see firsthand the impact our conversations can have in motivating key voters. Instead of doomscrolling or fretting about the latest headlines (we know, we've been there too), we have the opportunity to take our future into our own hands by making sure everyone's voices are heard at the polls this November. Can we count on you to make sure Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz have the support they need to win?

Trump's divisive rhetoric and Project 2025 agenda have no place in our future. But in order to defeat him, we need to show up and make sure every voter has the facts about what's at stake this November. With early voting already underway, voters are making their choices right now on which future our country will have. Together, we can make sure Vice President Harris has the early momentum and support she needs to defeat Trump and build a future in which everyone can thrive.

RSVP now to join Thursday and/or Saturday's phone bank! Be part of the critical fight to protect our progress and freedoms.

Thanks for all you do.

–Mia, Emma, Durrel, Ugbaad, and the rest of the team

P.S. Can't join us this week? You can check out all of our upcoming phone banks from now through Election Day here!

We've got the perfect yard sign to add to your Halloween decorations!

With October right around the corner, we're entering both the Halloween season and the final sprint of the 2024 election.

Dear MoveOn member,

With October right around the corner, we're entering both the Halloween season and the final sprint of the 2024 election.

Donald Trump returning to the White House is just about the scariest thing we can imagine, which got us thinking: Could we design festive, Halloween-themed products that double as reminders to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris by November 5?

Well, we think we managed to do just that with these two brand-new items!

First, we have a cozy crewneck sweatshirt with President Obama's famous slogan "Don't Boo, Vote!" which is perfect to wear all October long! And we also have this great addition to your Halloween decorations: a yard sign reading "The Other Guys Are Creepy. Vote Harrs-Walz!"

We have produced only very limited quantities of both of these items, and they will sell out fast! Click here to grab yours before they're gone!

Here's the truth, William: While we hope that these designs bring you some festive joy, they also serve an incredibly important purpose.

With just 37 days left until Election Day and the polls neck and neck, everything is going to come down to turnout, turnout, turnout.

And one of the most effective ways to get voters who are considering staying at home to cast a ballot is by making sure they see and hear messages from their friends, family, neighbors, and community members. Data shows that this type of social pressure is up to five times more effective than other get-out-the-vote tactics—and now you can do your part while also getting a fun, memorable piece of merch!

But we're not kidding: We have an extremely limited number of both our crewnecks and our yard signs, so you need to act fast if you want to secure one! Click here to grab yours now, before we run out!

Thanks for all you do.

[ACTION] Will you join our Educators for Harris call TODAY?

It's clear to us and the public: Donald Trump and JD Vance simply despise teachers and educators.

RSVP for a rallying "Educators for Harris" call hosted by MoveOn, the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), and the National Education Association (NEA) TODAY, September 26 at 7:30 P.M. ET (6:30 CT/5:30 MT/4:30 PT).

Dear MoveOn member,

JD Vance is "disturbed" by teachers without children.1

Trump just presented a keynote address for Moms for Liberty—an extremist Project 2025 hate group focused on undermining public education and banning books in schools.2

It's clear to us and the public: Donald Trump and JD Vance simply despise teachers and educators.

If you, like most people, respect our educators, have fond memories of your childhood teachers, or have educators in your family—or maybe you are one yourself—you know that we have to fight back against Trump's Project 2025 plans to derail our education system entirely.

That's why MoveOn and the nation's two biggest organizations of educators and teachers—the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), and the National Education Association (NEA)—are hosting an "Educators for Harris" call to make it clear to the public that teachers and educators matter now, more than ever—and who controls the White House in 2025 will be critical to the futures of educators, our schools, our students, and our families all across the country.

Join us TODAY, September 26 at 7:30 p.m. ET for a virtual event where we will discuss the importance of this election for our education system at both the federal and state level. We will hear from teachers on the front lines fighting against attacks on our freedom to learn and discuss the dangers of a Trump presidency for our education system.

We will be joined by Randi Weingarten, President of the AFT; Rebecca "Becky" Pringle, President of the NEA; Stacy Davis Gates, President of the Chicago Teachers Union; and revered writer, poet and educator Nikki Giovanni, along with several teachers and educators speaking to their experiences.

Teachers and educators have been some of the top contributors to the Harris-Walz campaign, because they recognize the high stakes of this election for our education system.3 They have faced right-wing attacks directly—from efforts to privatize our schools, to the relentless book bans, to the efforts to demonize what educators can and cannot teach about our shared history. Educators and teachers, and so many others, have too much to lose in the event of a Trump-Vance administration. There's too much at stake in this election for any of us to sit on the sidelines.

This event is an opportunity to hear from former and current educators who are directly impacted, and an opportunity for us to come together, and hear even more about the stakes ahead of this crucial election. RSVP for "Educators for Harris" and join us today on September 26 at 7:30 PM ET/6:30 PM CT.

Thanks for all you do.

Make Florida a swing state again

There's no overstating how exciting this is, William. It would be a political earthquake if we flipped these seats, bode well for Vice President Harris, and keep MAGA Republicans from winning control of the Senate.

Dear MoveOn member,

Here's something we didn't picture ourselves saying today: We have a real chance to send MAGA Senators Ted Cruz and Rick Scott packing in November!

Just weeks ago, any political expert would have said there was no way senators from red-state Texas and Florida were at risk of losing their seats. These are the states of Governors Greg Abbott and Ron DeSantis, after all!

But then Vice President Kamala Harris launched her campaign, and Donald Trump and JD Vance doubled down on their disdain for women and and fearmongering about immigrants. And now, the Senate races in Texas and Florida are virtually neck and neck!1,2

There's no overstating how exciting this is, William. It would be a political earthquake if we flipped these seats, bode well for Vice President Harris, and keep MAGA Republicans from winning control of the Senate.

That's why MoveOn is launching an emergency fundraising campaign for two MoveOn member-endorsed candidates: Democrats Colin Allred in Texas and Debbie Mucarsel-Powell in Florida.

Click here to rush an emergency $9 donation to the Allred and Mucarsel-Powell campaigns and to MoveOn's work to help them win and stop MAGA Republicans from controlling the Senate.

The situation in Texas is especially familiar, as we find ourselves in a Senate race that bears striking similarities to the one in 2018 between Ted Cruz and Beto O'Rourke. But now, large numbers of voters are upset about Texas's draconian abortion ban and MAGA extremism in their state.

Colin Allred, a 40-year-old Dallas civil rights attorney, is leading the charge in Texas, and he needs the support of MoveOn members to get it done.

Debbie Mucarsel-Powell is a Latina and a former member of Congress who has strong support among Latine voters and has made reproductive freedom a centerpiece of her campaign.3 With an initiative on the ballot to overturn the state's abortion ban and secure the right to abortion in the state constitution, she is within 1 point of Rick Scott in the latest polls.4

Our internal data-driven research shows that abortion is the issue most likely to motivate surge voters—those who need a bit of a push after turning out just once between 2018 and 2022—to turn out to vote, but now we need to get those Texas and Florida surge voters to the polls in November!

Democrats are defying the odds and may be on the verge of huge upset victories in Texas and Florida. But time is running out. Rush a $9 donation TODAY to the Allred and Mucarsel-Powell campaigns and to power MoveOn's work to get out the vote.

The stakes of this election could not be clearer. We cannot return to the chaos and division of Donald Trump's government, where our rights and freedoms were constantly under attack. The white Christian nationalist Project 2025 takeover plan is a stark reminder of what we could face in a second Trump presidency, especially with a MAGA Senate backing him.

MoveOn is working around the clock to expose Trump's unpopular views on abortion, engage young and inconsistent voters, convince them that their vote matters, and turn them out to vote. We have a proven track record of turning out voters through our innovative "vote tripling" method, which is up to five times more effective than other methods.

But we didn't expect to be investing in Florida and Texas at this moment, so we need your help to take advantage of this once-in-a-generation opportunity to flip these states!

Please donate $9 today, split between the campaigns of Democrats Colin Allred and Debbie Mucarsel-Powell and MoveOn. We are the many, and we are powerful. Together, we can—and will—make a difference.

Thanks for all you do.

–Mohammad, Corinne, Jaira, Allie, and the rest of the team

Will you join our Educators for Harris call this Thursday?

It's clear to us and the public: Donald Trump and JD Vance simply despise teachers and educators.

RSVP for a rallying "Educators for Harris" call hosted by MoveOn, the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), and the National Education Association (NEA) this Thursday, September 26 at 7:30 P.M.

Join us on Thursday, September 26 at 7:30 p.m.

RSVP for "Educators for Harris" and join us on Thursday, September 26 at 7:30 PM ET/6:30 PM CT.

Thanks for all you do.

I have little faith in the Electoral College

I have to admit that, while I have faith that the majority of Americans will make the right choice this election, I have little faith in the Electoral College.

Dear MoveOn member,

I have to admit that, while I have faith that the majority of Americans will make the right choice this election, I have little faith in the Electoral College.

The Electoral College gives a massive, profoundly unfair benefit to the Republican Party.

Out of the 50 states in the country, only a handful of battleground states will decide the future of our country. And inside those battleground states, it's going to be a tiny fraction of voters who decide the election.

I'm talking about undecided voters. But not the "undecided" voters who still haven't made up their minds between Vice President Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

Instead, I'm talking about a different type of undecided voter: progressive-leaning voters who are still deciding whether to vote at all. Mark my words: These voters will make or break this election.

William, it's true. The New York Times reports that pretty much every election victory we've had in the last two years was due to unexpectedly high turnout—at least 4 points more than projected—by Democratic-leaning voters.1

With so much on the line this year, my friends at MoveOn are not going after mythical "undecideds" or relying on campaign tactics that haven't worked since the '90s.

Instead, they've researched and tested a highly effective method of getting unlikely progressive voters to the polls so we can defeat Trump and his anti-democratic plans. But there's a catch: The Trump campaign is on to our tactics and trying to replicate them.

I'll tell you more in just a second. But first, will you rush a $9 donation to MoveOn to power their get-out-the-vote plan, help save our democracy, and defeat Trump and MAGA this November?

News outlets are reporting that the Trump campaign is copying MoveOn's playbook—focusing on the base and getting unlikely voters to turn out.

According to The New Yorker, the Trump campaign has "given up on persuading swing voters and is betting it all on turning out MAGA diehards."2

NBC News is reporting that the Trump campaign is placing a "big bet" on targeting MAGA-leaning voters who don't show up every voting cycle and may even skip the presidential ballot every four years.3

So what does this mean?

It means this election will come down to one thing: turnout, turnout, turnout.

With likely voters divided 50-50 this election, the fundamental question that will determine the outcome of this campaign is this: Which side will turn out more unlikely supporters?

Here's the good news: Turning out unlikely voters (whom we call "surge voters") is MoveOn's secret sauce.

And MoveOn does it by deploying a highly effective tactic called "vote tripling," which MoveOn pioneered at scale in 2020.

Vote tripling is based on relational organizing—the idea that people are much more likely to listen to their friends and social networks than to anonymous ads and outreach. Relational organizing has been proven to be the absolute best way, by orders of magnitude, not only to inform people but also to turn them into likely voters who will show up on Election Day.4

MoveOn has taken relational organizing and super-powered it by providing an easy way to reach out to friends and family, talk to them about the issues they care about the most, and help them make a plan to get to the polls. Not only did MoveOn's vote tripling result in 50,000 unlikely voters casting a ballot in 2020 in key states and districts, it's been proven to be as much as five times more effective than other methods!

So here's the plan this year: MoveOn's data team has identified 1.5 million surge voters in battleground states and districts—Democratic-leaning voters who do not vote consistently.

They have been reaching out to these voters for months. MoveOn members and volunteers have already done all this to reach surge voters in battleground states:

  • Made more than 483,192 calls, connecting directly with these key voters to talk about Trump's fascist plans and Project 2025 and how a Harris administration could help everyone thrive
  • Sent 73,339 postcards to provide these voters information about key issues they care most about and what's at stake in this election
  • Hosted more than 550 house parties to meet surge voters in their own communities, hear their stories, help convince them that their voice and vote matter, and ensure they feel empowered to make a difference at the ballot box

And soon, MoveOn will kick off their vote tripling program and get these voters to the polls!

But my friends at MoveOn are still raising the money to be able to fully execute their game-changing plan. With time running out, will you rush a $9 donation to help MoveOn turn out surge voters in battleground states? These are the voters who will make the difference this November.

Thanks for all you do.

Sign the petition: Urge the Biden administration to bring back COVID-19 support!

Every American needs to know they'll have access to vaccines that reduce their risk of severe illness and hospitalization, with no costly out-of-pocket fees. Every American needs to know they'll have access to vaccines that reduce their risk of severe illness and hospitalization, with no costly out-of-pocket fees.

Tell the Biden administration: Bring back comprehensive COVID protections and guarantee free vaccines for every single American!

Dear MoveOn member,

The good news: A new COVID vaccine is available. The bad news: Federal funding to guarantee free vaccines has ended, leaving uninsured Americans to pay up to $200 for a single shot.1

News of the updated vaccines comes after a serious summer surge—25 states saw spikes, leading it to be the biggest summer surge since the pandemic began.2

But federal funding has run out for the Bridge Access Program, a key initiative run by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to bring free COVID vaccines to uninsured Americans.3

People are already feeling the impacts of this program ending. A woman in St. Louis was stunned to receive a $201.99 quote for her vaccine appointment at CVS. She had lost Medicaid benefits when her income rose and was doubtful she had the funds in her bank account to cover the vaccine appointment out of pocket.4

Experts agree: COVID isn't going anywhere—every American needs to know they'll have access to vaccines that reduce their risk of severe illness and hospitalization, with no costly out-of-pocket fees. Will you sign our petition calling on the Biden administration and CDC to extend the Bridge Access Program?

Uninsured Americans have been disproportionately impacted by COVID throughout this pandemic, often being left with treatments they can't afford or thousands of dollars in medical debt to treat symptoms of long COVID.5 Black, Latinx, and Indigenous people are even more likely to be hospitalized due to COVID complications.6

We need the federal government to step in and protect our most vulnerable communities—ensuring once and for all that COVID tests and treatments are made freely available to everyone.

Will you sign our petition now urging President Biden to ensure that every American has access to COVID vaccines by extending the Bridge Access Program?

No American should pay out of pocket for COVID vaccines. Add your name to urge our government to bring back comprehensive COVID protections and extend the Bridge Access Program.

This is a matter of public health. By listening to the science, we know that vaccines are the most effective thing we can do to protect ourselves from infection, build immunity, and keep hospitalizations low nationwide. Our government should be broadening access to vaccines, not making them harder to obtain.7

When our government saw a gap in access for testing and vaccines, they launched federal interventions to help close the gap. And it worked. From September 2023 to May 2024 alone, more than 800,000 uninsured people received COVID vaccine doses through the Bridge Access Program.8 With COVID infections surging, we need our government to lead again and extend lifesaving programs that everyday Americans need to protect themselves, their loved ones, and their communities.

Last year, COVID vaccines cost up to $130 per dose—and this year, the cost could be even higher.Without the federal government stepping in to cover costs, Americans may face impossible choices between buying groceries or safeguarding their health.

A former nonprofit worker in Atlanta tried to receive the COVID vaccine before helping a friend with cancer move, but she was forced to rely on other methods such as testing and wearing masks after seeing a whopping $300 price tag.10

Sign our petition now to tell the Biden administration: Protect uninsured Americans and guarantee they can receive vital preventative care.

Extending the program for free vaccines is just one of many things our government must do to continue combating COVID. We need federal funding for increased testing, including increasing the accessibility of PCR tests at health clinics and distributing free at-home rapid tests. When the national public health emergency around COVID was ended, the costs of testing and certain treatments like monoclonal antibodies increased for everyone.11

The COVID pandemic has claimed millions of lives worldwide, with millions more facing long-term health consequences. But there's real evidence that vaccines can help prevent hospitalizations and get folks back on their feet faster. We need the Biden administration to do the right thing and keep COVID vaccines free and accessible for everyone.

Thanks for all you do.

[Action Alert] Join MoveOn's phone bank THIS Thursday to call voters about electing Harris-Walz!

Join MoveOn members this Thursday for a virtual phone bank session to call voters about sending Harris-Walz to the White House!

RSVP to join a MoveOn virtual phone bank to call voters this Thursday about electing Harris-Walz!

Dear MoveOn member,

Election Day may be 43 days away, but voters are starting to cast their ballots now! On Friday, early voting began in Virginia, Minnesota, and South Dakota.1 And in the coming weeks, more and more states will begin voting.

If you've been thinking about getting involved to help send Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz to the White House, now is the time! It's an all-hands-on-deck moment to reach as many voters as possible to talk with them about the stakes of this election and the importance of voting for the Harris-Walz ticket before they cast their vote!

Now through election day, MoveOn is hosting weekly phone banks every Thursday to contact key voters who will have a big impact on who will win the presidential election. These are voters who likely support Vice President Harris but don't vote every year and probably need a little extra nudge to be motivated to turn out in November. By talking to these voters about the stakes of this election, we can make a huge impact in what is likely to be a very tight race.

Will you join MoveOn's virtual phone bank this Thursday at 7 p.m. ET (6 CT/5 MT/4 PT) to call voters across the country? There will be a short training at the beginning of the call to review everything, and support will be available throughout the whole session.

Last Thursday, 60 MoveOn members joined the phone bank and collectively made 35,217 calls. The more people who join these phone banks, the more conversations we have, and the more people we talk to about voting for Harris-Walz and invite to volunteer with MoveOn to get out the vote. Just imagine how many calls we could make if we had 200 people sign up! Can you help us reach that goal?

This election is a choice between two futures. Donald Trump wants to take us back. His Project 2025 plan would strip away our freedoms and consolidate power for himself and the wealthy few. In fact, his plan outlines a path to ban abortion and contraception, eliminate the Affordable Care Act, gut public education, and set us back on progress to address climate change. It also lays out a plan to fire hundreds of civil servants and replace them with Trump loyalists who will let him do whatever he wants.

We can't allow that to happen. Fortunately, we know what will stop Trump and Project 2025. Voters, turning out in massive numbers! This is why talking directly to voters about what's at stake this election is so critical. We have a clear choice to make: electing Trump who will remove decades of progress and just look after himself, or Vice President Kamala Harris who will protect and expand our freedoms and fight for us.

RSVP now to join Thursday's phone bank! Whether you join weekly or this is your first time, your time and energy are appreciated! We will win by all of us coming together, and this starts now.

Thanks for all you do.

–Kelsey, Amanda, Mona, Amy and the rest of the team

P.S. You can also join a phone bank tomorrow night at 8 p.m. ET! MoveOn members will be calling Arizona voters to tell them to vote yes on Proposition 139, the ballot initiative to restore abortion rights across the state!

UPDATE: We're going all-in on North Carolina

On Thursday, CNN dropped a bombshell report showing that Mark Robinson, the Trump-endorsed far right candidate for governor in North Carolina, spent years posting vile, racist, and lewd messages on a porn website, even referring to himself as a "Black Nazi."

Dear MoveOn member,

On Thursday, CNN dropped a bombshell report showing that Mark Robinson, the Trump-endorsed far right candidate for governor in North Carolina, spent years posting vile, racist, and lewd messages on a porn website, even referring to himself as a "Black Nazi."1

The fallout has left Republicans in North Carolina in disarray and has opened up a real possibility for Democrats to win the state for Kamala Harris in November.

William, we wanted you to be the first to know that MoveOn has made the decision to move North Carolina into our Tier 1 election target list, and we need your help to make sure we have the resources we need to take advantage of this chance to flip this state blue in November.

The opportunity here is enormous, but we can seize it only if we have the funds to do so. Please, will you donate $7 a week to MoveOn through Election Day so we can supercharge our efforts to win in North Carolina?

Yes, I'll chip in weekly.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a weekly donation.

Here's our take on the state of play.

Robinson—who the reporting shows referred to Martin Luther King Jr. as a "commie bastard," revealed he likes "peeping" on women in locker room showers, and expressed his desire to own slaves—is deeply tied to Donald Trump and the MAGA movement.2,3 Trump endorsed him and has repeatedly referred to him as someone to be "cherished" and "Martin Luther King on steroids."4

If we are able to repeatedly remind North Carolina voters about Trump's close relationship to Robinson, it could convince independent and undecided voters to cast a ballot for Harris.

And we cannot overstate how transformative it would be to win the state.

North Carolina has 16 electoral votes. If Harris takes the state, she would just need to win Pennsylvania and either Michigan or Wisconsin, not both, to win the election.

That creates an additional pathway to the White House and would counteract the Republican efforts to both jam up election results in Georgia and steal an electoral vote in Nebraska.5

We know how close this election is going to be. Any chance to expand our pathways to victory is a chance we must take.

MoveOn is ready to begin running targeted ads, increase our phone-banking audiences, expand our work to recruit voters to triple their impact by ensuring three friends or family members cast a ballot, and much more. But our budget is very tight, and donations have slowed significantly.

Will you help us fuel our efforts in North Carolina and around the country by chipping in $7 a week through Election Day?

Yes, I'll chip in weekly.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a weekly donation.

Let's be clear: Mark Robinson, like Donald Trump, was already categorically unfit to serve in elected office before these newest revelations.

In the past, he has praised Hitler, denied the Holocaust, called the LGBTQ+ community "maggots" and "filth," proclaimed 9/11 to be an "inside job," and declared that women have abortions only because they "aren't responsible enough to keep [their] skirts down."6,7 And the Republican Party still stood behind him. And they still are today.

The American people deserve better, and we have a real chance to usher in a brand-new era of leadership, stability, and progress this November.

It's going to take all of us to win. Please, William, if you are able, start a $7 weekly gift right now to support MoveOn's election work in North Carolina and across the country all the way through Election Day.

Yes, I'll chip in weekly.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a weekly donation.

Thanks for all you do.

Want to support MoveOn? The MAGA right is declaring war, and Project 2025 is their battle plan. Project 2025 threatens our rights, attacks communities of color, hurts middle- and working-class families, and undermines our democracy. But we will not back down or let Trump steamroll our nation.

Will you start a monthly donation to power and sustain MoveOn's election plan, stop Trump, and ensure Project 2025 is never enacted?

Yes, I'll chip in $5 a month.

No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.
